Pacific Flyway Waterfowl

For the past 5 years my work with the US Geological Survey has directly addressed optimizing management of large Pacific Flyway Waterfowl populations and improving conservation and management of the wetland habitats critical to their survival.

We investigate movement and behavioral ecology of 12 waterfowl species, examining habitat use and requirements, conservation, management and effects of planned habitat restoration and disturbance.

Activities include very large scale movement tracking, habitat assessments and liaising with countless stakeholders and organizations.
